Sennheiser rozszerza gamę słuchawek bezprzewodowych w serii RS o trzy modele. Najtańsze Sennheiser RS160 kosztujące 600 zł są dużą zamkniętą konstrukcją z wbudowanym cyfrowym wzmacniaczem.
W komplecie znajduje się płaski dysk-nadajnik, który może komunikować się aż z czterema odbiornikami oddalonymi o 20 m. Większy zasięg (80 m) posiada model pośredni Sennheiser RS170 (800 zł), z transmiterem, który pełni jednocześnie rolę stojaka dla słuchawek. W 170-tkach wykorzystano obecność procesora DSP do zaprogramowania kilku dodatkowych funkcji, m.in. equalizacji i trybów przestrzennych. Najdroższe i największe Sennheiser RS 180 (1000 zł) są już konstrukcją otwartą; dołączony do zestawu nadajnik zapewnia zasięg aż 100 m. Każdy z modeli posługuje się cyfrową transmisją dźwięku w pasmie 2,4 GHz, wykorzystując modulację MSK i bezstratną technologię przesyłania sygnału Kleer, opracowaną specjalnie z myślą o słuchawkach.
The RS 160 is a two-part system that
comes with wireless headphones, powered by a couple of NiMH batteries
and a transmitter that connects to your output device. It’s very simple
to set up as the whole system is plug and play.
This compact and
portable transmitter utilises Kleer's uncompressed digital wireless
audio transmission. It offers an effective range of 20m (line of
sight), and can serve up to four pairs of headphones.
Soundwise,
the bass delivery is rousing and full-bodied while the closed, snug fit
around your ears effectively isolates outside noise.
